HollyHood Affairs: Turnt Up Ent. Takeover

Hollywood is the place to be for parties on this Halloween weekend, just like any other. The only difference between the past and the present is all new talent.

Imagine a live crew of lyricists who are full of energy,  has great group dynamics, a nice sound, banging beats, and a show intended to incite living life to the fullest. Now multiply that by ten and you've got Turnt Up Entertainment. Consisting mainly of LyricX, I. Wood, Ace, Mike-Check, and B. Guttah fresh out of the 'Wood, Turnt Up Ent. has grown into a family of well-versed individuals ready to get SoCal 'turnt up'!

Phressh Buzz had the opportunity to catch T.U. Ent. live in concert last night at the G-Club, where A Haunted Hip Hop Affair was hosted by JS Global Entertainment. Also in concert that evening was Conex, Duece7 and Miss Naya Bugati, with memorable performances. Even with the ever-thinning crowd of twenty-somethings rooting for their acts, Hype Man J and others from Turnt Up Entertainment kept the crowd up and moving for most of the night. In the words of LyricX, the president of the group, "If it ain't Turnt Up Ent. the it's turned down!"

Despite the talents preceding them, T.U. Ent. attacked the stage and delivered an awesome twenty minute set. Fans new and old crowded around the stage with cameras, phones and dance moves. After the smooth lyrics from Mike-Check in the first song "Swagga On Animal", Lethal Weaponz burned the stage with their anthem "Turnt Up". Everybody got love on the stage, including Ace-No Samples, the mastermind behind the engineering. The Lethal Weaponz single "Gon' B Naked" included an intro in which the rap stars and the crowd cheered "Ace! Ace! No Samples!"  repeatedly. Crowd control was on high and the energy in the club was knocked up a few notches during their entire performance. "That s**t was fly," says Hype Man J.

While other rappers decided to freestyle or rhyme a capella , Turnt Up Ent decided to try something new...like a new track. Just hours before their performance at the G Club, the group had been in a recording session laying down two new songs, one of which was performed.

"It was FIRE watching people liking, dancing to and feeling a song that's only hours old," laughs I.Wood, the other half of Lethal Weaponz. "That was a world premier!"

By the end of the performance, which was raved to be "great, professional and well performed", Turnt Up Entertainment took over the G Club by getting the party started and keeping it going for as long as they stayed. It's obvious they are ready for the world but is the world ready for them??
